Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin cheering on Stephen's daughter Lilac at her soccer game

From the 13th this month

Anna Paquin seems to be taking her role as a step-mother in her stride.

The True Blood star joined her new husband Stephen Moyer to cheer on his daughter Lilac as she played a game of football in Venice, California, yesterday.

The 8-year-old certainly seems to have warmed the 28-year-old, giving her a hug as she celebrated her team's victory on the pitch.

The couple, who were dressed in casual outfits, blended in with the other parents as they cheered and clapped from the sidelines.

The True Blood co-stars married in a Malibu ceremony in August after dating since 2007.

Stephen also has a son, Billy, 10, from a previous relationship.

The couple have settled into a relaxed life since their summer nuptials, spending their time working out together, attending events and bonding with the children.

The partnership couldn't be more different to the on-screen romance they portray as Bill Compton and Sookie Stackhouse in the hit HBO show True Blood.
