Glee’s squeaky clean star singer and bad boy sports star had a pretty uneasy relationship during the last season of the hit musical TV show.
But off set, actors Cory Monteith and Mark Salling are clearly better friends than their alter egos as they hit a Hollywood nightspot together.
Monteith, 28, who plays heart throb Finn Hudson in the series, looked casual in jeans and T-shirt with a black leather jacket and trainers.

And 27-year-old Salling, who stars as bad boy Noah 'Puck' Puckerman, looked equally low key in black jeans and a tight grey T-shirt as he was snapped talking to Monteith outside Hollywood nightclub My Studio.
Monteith, who has said he is single, seemed to attract the attentions of a number of female fans on his night out.
He has denied dating country singer Taylor Swift, claiming he is too busy for a girlfriend.

'No, we're just friends,’ he told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show back in May. ‘I don't know where the time is to date these days.’
Meanwhile Salling has said he is not dating his Glee co-star Naya Rivera who plays cheerleader Santana Lopez .
'Mark is not in a committed relationship at this time as his primary focus has been his work,' his rep has said.
The second season of Glee is set to air in the U.S. in September.
