Javier Bardem wants to do Brad Pitt

Javier Bardem thinks a major Hollywood star is a 'beauty with an amazing body' - but it's Brad Pitt, not his wife Penelope Cruz.

The 41-year-old Spaniard gushes about Pitt in an interview with US Elle, saying he even felt like he could 'fall in love' with the father-of-six.

Bardem - who secretly wed Cruz earlier this month - makes his comments after denying that male and female co-stars frequently fall in love.

The Eat, Pray, Love actor says: "No, no. I'm not Brad Pitt.

"I had the great opportunity to meet Brad a couple of times...what a beauty. He is beautiful and his physicality is so amazing to see.

"But the beauty really comes from different places - the way he talks, the way he's interested in what you're saying.

"And that body is like - wow. It's amazing, no? He really made me feel very, like...I don't know, like, I could fall in love with him!

"Like a teenage girl getting crazy and going [screams] like that.

"I met him only twice but I would say it's a good self. And that is when the beauty comes voom!"

Despite appearing in the 2008 movie Vicky Cristina Barcelona with Cruz, 36, Bardem denies that on-the-set romance between co-stars is a common occurrence.

The Oscar winner says: "That thing that they call the chemistry, it's true.

"But it's not that true. I've worked with actors and actresses and I've done scenes with a lot of love in those and people believe it, and that person and I...we didn't go along very well.

"But that's what they pay you for: 'Act, motherf*****, act'.

But Julia Roberts - who plays his love interest in the upcoming movie Eat, Pray, Love - says that her female friends all swoon when they see Bardem.

"When I got sent the trailer for the film, I had, like, three or four girlfriends over at my house," the actress tells Elle.

"And I put the thing in, and as soon as Javier came on, they were all like: 'Oh!' The collective swoon.

"I just started giggling. He's a very charismatic guy, but that's not how I think of him in my heart now. "He's kind of like my bud."
