Ricky Martin shows off his sexy sculpted arms on the cover of Latina’s February 2012 issue, on newsstands Tuesday (January 10).
The 40-year-old Puerto Rican global superstar opens up to Latina about marriage, fatherhood and his highly anticipated return to Broadway in Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's beloved musical, Evita.
Contrary to rumors that he would marry Carlos in Spain after the country granted the singer citizenship last year, Martin tells the magazine it is too soon for him to walk down the aisle.
On whether he'd marry his partner Carlos Gonzalez Abella:“We are not talking about it, we’re not thinking about it.
But I’m so happy that in Europe we have the option. It’s amazing to think that we can say, ‘I feel like it. I’m ready. Let’s go.’
On returning to Broadway:“The people, the critics, are going to be expecting a lot. It has to be the best…You have to have the attitude that, ‘You know what? No one will stop me.' It’s going to be a magical year.”
On Babies:“I think that I’ll do it later on this year, so that [the kids] are not too far apart in ages. A little girl! Dios mío, me muero... But we’re going to talk about that later on. It would be irresponsible to do it now.”
On coming out:Coming out was liberating“for myself, my family, my core fans. They feel more in touch with me and I feel more in touch with them. If I feel free, they’re going to feel free and vice versa. It’s contagious.”
It feels like someone raised the temperature in here? No – it’s just a performance of Ricky Martin with Christina Aguilera from a few years back. Martin and the half-Ecuadorian singer has amazing chemistry during their duet “Nobody Wants to be Lonely.” Watch the video of their performance below and listen to how their vocals intertwine perfectly.
Go, go, go Ricky! Below, check out a performance of Martin singing his smash hit “The Cup of Life.” The vibrant song was the official song for the 1998 FIFA World Cup and was a favorite in many countries around the world.
We took it back with this one! We’re talking about decades-ago back. Check out an adorable and much-younger Ricky below performing the Spanish version of “Oh My Love” with his old boy band Menudo. Enjoy the hairdo and check out his sequined outfit. Oh, and please excuse the clip of a Japanese sitcom at the end…
What a performer! Ricky Martin went from serious to wildly energetic in a back-to-back performance of “She’s All I Ever Had” and “Livin’ La Vida Loca.” The drastic change in tone still kept up captivated. Check out the video below:
We know we mentioned “The Cup of Life” already, but here’s another one for ya! The sexy Boricua superstar pumped life into the 1998 Grammy Awards with his amazing performance, which included a line of percussionists moving their way down the aisle towards the stage. Take notice of his leather pants and fitted sweater… sigh.
Check out Ricky Martin’s explosive and memorable performance with Andy Garcia, Gloria Estefan and the late Queen of Salsa Celia Cruz. The performance took place in at the first-ever Latin Grammy Awards in 2000 and was a tribute to the late Tito Puente. Check out their performance below:
Ricky Martin performed an amazing opening medley at 2007’s Latin Grammy Awards. A sweet addition was the presence of the widely acclaimed Blue Man Group. Check out Martin’s performance below:
We love the laidback vibe of this performance. Check out Ricky Martin with Spanish singer Natalia Jimenez below. The two entertainers performed “Lo Mejor De Mi Vida Eres Tu” (“The Best Thing About Me Is You”) at last year’s Latin Grammy Awards.
