Ryan Gosling shoots bank robbery scene in front of real customers

via glooce

Ryan Gosling filmed his new scene for his movie recently. On April 5, Digital Spy reported that when he filmed his bank robbery scene he did it right in front of customers. The movie is called "The Place Beyond the Pines."

He wanted to get real reactions from people so he did it in front of the real customers and not actors, but Ryan thinks that people recognized who he was so it wasn't as good as he wanted. He says he had a gun and people were smiling and someone even had a camera phone.

Ryan Gosling even teased that he has always wanted to do a bank robbery. Now thanks to his job he can say that he has done it. It sounds like he had a good time with it all. Would you have recognized him if he was in front of you robbing a bank or would you have been scared?

"The Place Beyond the Pines" is now airing in theaters. Do you plan to go and see it?

Johnny Depp serenades fans in small Washington State town

    via glooce

Talk about a big Hollywood treat for a small Washington state town!

Johnny Depp is currently filming the upcoming flick Lucky Them in the Seattle area, and he surprised small-town fans when he serenaded locals in the town of Carnation while taking a break from work.

The 49-year-old actor apparently had no qualms about interacting with his starstruck locals, looking relaxed and content as he played guitar and posed for pics.

Local reports suggest Depp was filming at a small lodge near the town, located in the Snoqualmie Valley and boasting a population of fewer than 2,000, when he decided upon the impromptu performance.

And from the looks of his smiling fans, he certainly made their day!

Harry Styles wants to date Jennifer Lawrence

    via glooce

The One Direction heartthrob has become smitten with the 22-year-old actress after watching her collect the Best Actress Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards last Sunday and is now "begging" mutual friends to introduce them.

A close pal of Harry's told the Daily Star newspaper: "He fell in love with Jennifer after watching her speech at the Oscars. Harry likes goofy girls and thinks it's hilarious that she fell over as she went to accept her award for Best Actress.

"And obviously, like most men, he thinks she's drop-dead gorgeous. He's been begging mutual friends who know Jen to put the word out for him so they can hook up next time they're in the same city.

"Harry is quietly confident because he normally gets whichever girl he sets his sights on."

It was only last week that the 19-year-old lothario was spotted flirting with model Millie Brady at the BRIT Awards in London and Harry has apparently already made more plans to see the British beauty.

A source said: "Nothing actually happened between them that night - there were too many people about. But there was some pretty serious flirting going on. She and Harry plan on meeting up at this weekend or next week.

"They are talking about hitting a few clubs. It's obvious they are keen to see each other again but they won't want it to look like a date."

John Stamos Teams Up with The Black Keys

    via glooce

Uncle Jesse Drums on the Keys' New Album, Calls Patrick Carney an 'Inspiration'

Following the success of their last grammy-winning album, El Camino, The Black Keys are really "reaching for the stars" on their new album follow up, and one of those stars include Full House's Uncle Jesse, aka John Stamos, reports MTV News.

"We're working with John Stamos," Carney of the Keys said. "He's actually performing the drums on our album."

You got it babe..."Uncle Jesse" will be drumming his way into The Black Keys newest album.

Stamos, known as the cool, impressively-coiffed "Uncle Jesse" on Full House, has been an on-and-off drummer for the Beach Boys for several years, according to Elmore Magazine. He also showcased his musical talents on the 1990's hit sitcom by playing random cameos with his on-tv band Jesse and the Rippers.

John Stamos tweeted at Patrick Carney of The Black Keys on February 19th:

Although Stamos may think Carney is an "inspiration", according to recent news, most beliebers would have to disagree. Justin Bieber fans lashed out against the drummer for his negative comments about their pop idol after the Grammys a few weeks back.

"Grammys are for, like, music," Carney said. "Not for money ... and he's making a lot of money. He should be happy, I guess."

Once Bieber responded by saying that Carney needs to be "slapped around" a little, Beliebers had Justin's back and took to Twitter with rage. Youngins tweeted insults at Carney, prompting the Grammy-winning musician to take on a fake Bieber profile for his own Twitter page, according to Daily News.

He changed his name to Justin Bieber, though he kept the "@patrickcarney" handle, with a profile description that reads "official twitter for the actual verified Justin Bieber DOS virtual buddy."

Moving past the recent Justin drama, The Black Keys refocus on what's most important, their music. In addition to addition Stamos to their new album, the Keys will also be re-teaming with frequent collaborator Brian "Danger Mouse" Burton on their new album, according to MTV.

The other Black Keys member, Dan Auerbach, explained in a previous interview a few months back, "We're going to start making the new album in the second week of January and we're hoping to have it done by some time in March ... The record isn't written yet, we'll do it when we get into the studio. This is when we both work best, when we're dying to make an album. All of our records take place in the studio, in that we make stuff up while we're there."

After playing a series of shows in April and May with special guests The Flaming Lips, according to Spin.com, they will reportedly take the summer off.

As for John Stamos, besides drumming on the Keys new album, after stints on ERGlee, and The New Normal in the last few years, Stamos is set to star in NBC's I Am Victor, a drama about "a high powered divorce attorney with a unique view of relationships," as noted by Vulture.

We look forward to seeing and hearing the latest from tv's best looking uncle..."have mercy!"

Daniel Radcliffe might Play Igor in 'Frankenstein'

    via glooce

Daniel Radcliffe is in final negotiations to star in Frankenstein, Fox’s revisionist take on the classic horror story by Mary Shelley.

Paul McGuinan is directing the project, which has a script by Chronicle scribe Max Landis and is being produced by John Davis.

The casting goes against type for the usually clean cut Harry Potter star as Radcliffe will play Igor, the hunchback. He is described as pathologically dirty, with long hair and wearing old clown clothes. (A circus tone permeates much of the project, according to sources.)

A late summer production start in the UK is being planned.

Chris Brown: 'Rihanna assault is my deepest regret'

    via glooce

Chris Brown has admitted that assaulting girlfriend Rihanna is "the deepest regret of [his] life", but the ongoing backlash to his violent actions "doesn't bother [him] anymore".

The 'Don't Wake Me Up' star was sentenced to 180 hours of community service and put on a five-year probation order after beating Rihanna in February 2009.

Opening up about his relationship with the 'Diamonds' singer following her confirmation last month that they are now back together, Brown insisted that he "worked hard" for her forgiveness.

"Sometimes you row, you fight, with the one you love and things get said, stuff spirals," he told The Mirror. "That night was the deepest regret of my life, the biggest mistake.

"But she loves me - what can I say? I'm forgiven... but, yes, I worked hard for it.

"People attack me and criticize me, it happens all the time. But they don't know me, and they don't know us. It doesn't bother me anymore. Other people can judge us but they don't know anything."

Brown also claimed that he has "grown up" since his assault on Rihanna, and thanked fans who "got [him] through" the difficult aftermath.

"I've learned a lot since that night and I've grown up," he said. "I was very young and I took a lot of stuff, fame, for granted.

"I didn't understand it. The support from those who do know me and the fans, who are incredible, got me through."

Rihanna recently spoke out in support of Brown, commenting that he is "not the monster everyone thinks".

"He's a good person. He has a fantastic heart," she said. "He's giving and loving. And he's fun to be around."

It has been speculated that the couple are planning to get married after Rihanna wore an apparent engagement ring at the Grammys earlier this month.

Seth MacFarlane's Jokes: The Worst Of The Bad

    via glooce

Seth MacFarlane isn't known for his political correctness -- but some of the jokes he made while hosting the Oscars Sunday night seemed especially offensive or just plain bad. Here are a few of the worst:

On "Django Unchained": "This is the story of a man fighting to get back his woman, who's been subjected to unthinkable violence. Or as Chris Brown and Rihanna call it, a date movie."

On slavery: "If you bumped into Don Cheadle in the studio lot, would you try and free him?"

On the price of beauty: "For all those women who had the 'flu.' it paid off. Lookin' good."

On Daniel Day Lewis' method acting: "I would argue that the actor who got most inside Lincoln's head was John Wilkes Booth."

On Ben Affleck: "First time I saw him with all that dark facial hair I thought, my God, the Kardashians have finally made the jump to film."

On Hispanic actors: “We’ve reached that point where Javier Bardem, Salma Hayek or Penelope Cruz takes the stage and we have no idea what they’re saying but we don’t care because they’re so attractive.”

Shia LaBeouf Plagiarizes ‘How to Be a Man’ From Esquire; Author Reacts

      via glooce

To explain why he quit the Broadway play Orphans, problem child Shia LaBeouf decided to tweet his dramatic e-mails with the cast, including Alec Baldwin. The centerpiece of the exchange, which LaBeouf shared along with grandiose (attributed!) quotes from David Mamet and Mark Twain, are the 26-year-old's musings on what it is to be a man: "My dad was a drug dealer. He was a shit human. But he was a man," LaBeouf begins. "He taught me how to be a man. What i know of men Alec is - A man is good at his job. Not his work, not his avocation, not his hobby. Not his career. His job." A man, apparently, also takes what he pleases, because the lines are lifted from Tom Chiarella's "What Is a Man?" published by Esquire in 2009.

LaBeouf goes on in men's magazine voice: "A man owns up. That's why Mark McGwire is not a man. A man grasps his mistakes. He lays claim to who he is, and what he was, whether he likes them or not. Some mistakes, though, he lets pass if no one notices. Like dropping the steak in the dirt." The actor, playing editor, doesn't use Chiarella's entire piece, but the parts he does are taken word for word. Here's the whole e-mail. (To sum up his exposition on the issue, LaBeouf wrote on Twitter, "invent nothing, deny nothing, speak up, stand up, stay out of school." Noted, man.)

Chiarella told Daily Intelligencer that his editor had read him part of LaBeouf's message over the phone. "I said, 'That sounds good,' because I thought he had written it. Then he said, 'They're your words!'" Chiarella explained. "I'm assuming Shia Googled it." The article does show up in searches for "what is a man" and "how to be a man."

"I won't pass judgement on the guy, but I will say this: It's a very tough assignment. You're giving people words they might lean on someday. This is not the type of leaning I had in mind," he said. "I have to have a sense of humor. You write that and then everybody in the world either likes it or finds it the most pretentious piece of shit ever. So I hate having to look at the comments again."

"I hate that it's associated with his drug dealer father," he added. "My father was a good guy!"

Asked what a real man would do in this situation, Chiarella thought about it for a quick moment. "A man who's been plagiarized must be graceful and grateful that your words have power," he said. "A man who plagiarized just owes an acknowledgment and a one-sentence apology. But I don't expect it."

Zachary Quinto Probably Not Returning To 'American Horror Story' Season 3

      via glooce

Zachary Quinto's "American Horror Story" character  was one of the  stars of the show's second second "Asylum." But in an interview with HuffPost blogger Shannon O'Connor, the "Star Trek" star revealed that he probably won't be returning to "American Horror Story" for its third season.

"I haven't had any conversations about coming back, so at this point I don't think I will be part of the third season as no one has mentioned it to me and I know that they have been making other announcements for the cast. Which is fine, when I signed on for the second season, Ryan [Murphy] and I talked about it being a one year commitment and I think just where I am in my work and what I want to accomplish I think it is good to have a little flexibility and a little bit of freedom. So, at this point I don't really have any plans to go back, but from what I've heard and what I know is maybe going to happen a little bit, I am really excited to see the characters that Lily [Rabe], Sarah [Paulson], Jessica [Lange] and Evan [Peters] all play. I know Frances Conroy is coming back, which I think is amazing and I think it is going to be a different world all together and knowing Ryan as I do I think that it's only going to be more exciting and more surprising than anything we have seen so far. I look forward to watching it."

One Direction and the rise of Gay Acting Straight Men

        via glooce

An inside look at One Direction, Homo-eroticism, and Testicle Slapping.

If ever there was a pop group perfectly engineered to fuel the fantasy lives of adolescent girls (and a subset of grown woman and gay men), it’s One Direction. The Simon Cowell-managed and -manufactured fivesome are equal in looks and charm (if not necessarily in talent) and sing about parties, kissing, and girls who don’t know they’re beautiful, in songs tailor-made for the Twilight generation.

But One Direction differ from the all-male singing groups that came before them in other, less superficial, ways as well. Take the video for their latest ditty, Kiss You, in which Harry Styles, riding on a motorcycle behind Zayn Malik, reaches forward to cheekily tweak his band mate’s nipples.

Or their previous hit, Live While We're Young, in which the boys wrestle, hug, and play with giant inflatable banana. Not to mention the countless TV appearances, interviews and live concerts in which the band have groped or mock-kissed each other for the cameras.

It wasn’t like this when I was growing up. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the talent was just as uneven and the songs equally corny, but even within the boy band genre, the “cute one” was a one-man role (alongside the “bad boy,” “shy one,” and the “one with the talent”), rather than a prerequisite for appearing on stage at all.

Yep, there’s a definite whiff of the homoerotic about 2013’s foremost boy band.

Groups of young men who sing, dance and wear brightly coloured jeans (or back in the 1990s, plastic trousers and tight t-shirts) have long been objects of sexual mockery. ‘N Sync, the American boy band famous for launching Justin Timberlake, was the butt of homophobic jokes long before Lance Bass came out of the closet in 2006. The Backstreet Boys? “More like the Backdoor Boys,” the turn of the millennium joke tittered.

One Direction are no different. No sooner had the band’s Kiss You video hit YouTube than a parody emerged with jokes about “gay leprechauns,” “dropping the soap,” and liking men’s butts. Hilarious, no?

But what distinguishes One Direction from their predecessors is that rather than trying to fight these stereotypes by gushing about women and being careful not to stand too closely together, they play up to them. They flirt. They roughhouse. They touch each other’s bottoms at concerts, and perform at gay nightclubs. They also have girlfriends. People may call them gay, but (most of the time, at least) they don’t give a toss. Because for the One Direction generation, being “gay” isn’t a bad thing.

In fact, amongst the demographic Harry, Liam, Louis, Zayn and Niall occupy, this kind of behaviour is common, says UK masculinities researcher, Eric Anderson. Anderson is the author of a 2010 study which found that 89 percent of 18- to 25-year-old self-identified heterosexual men had kissed another man on the lips - and in most cases, there was nothing sexual about it. “This is what young men of that age do in the UK,” Anderson says. “Touching, hugging, cuddling, and bum/testicle slapping are all ways you show your mates that you love them.”

It’s a shift that is deeply tied to a broader decline in – and increasing unacceptability of – homophobia, Anderson believes. In periods of high "homohysteria" he argues – places and points in history in which same-sex attraction is both widely recognised and reviled – men will keep their distance from each other in order to avoid being labelled as “gay.” At when homohysteria is lower, men are able to be more freely intimate: whether that means One Direction-style horseplay, friends holding hands in the Middle East, or rugby players posing with their arms draped around each other instead of standing with their arms solemnly folded.

Australian sociologist Michael Flood has observed a similar blurring of boundaries between straight and gay cultures, pointing to the rise of the metrosexual, the hipster, and indeed of men like himself: for whom going to Mardi Gras or hanging out with same-sex attracted friends is second nature, but who go home to female lovers and partners. He calls them “straight queers.”

But this blurring has been “very uneven,” Flood warns. “It’s much more common amongst urban young men than rural young men. It probably goes along with particular peer cultures as well. You’ll find fewer straight queers in death metal or pub rock than in hipster cultures, cafes and so on.” And whilethe prevalence of homophobia is lowest in the 18 to 24 age group, it is significantly higher amongst 14- to 17-year-olds. Not to mention that One Direction are playing with gay culture in a safely heterosexual space. “Coming out would be different,” Flood maintains.

Then again, it seems that in this case, coming out isn’t really the point. One Direction’s mock kisses and crotch grabbing may garner attention on YouTube, but they represent the flirtatious tip of a decidedly more platonic iceberg. Beneath them lie a myriad of more subtle intimacies, and a gradual shift to a culture that allows men to banter, make body contact, and even love each other a little bit, without it marking a threat to their status as men. In other words, a culture that allows young men to enjoy the kind of friendship and intimacy that has traditionally been associated with young women.

As for One Direction themselves? When asked by an American interviewer why they grab each other’s butts and crotches on stage, Niall replied, “See, that one, that one’s just to make the girls scream, isn’t it?” “See, [Harry’s] done that, and the crowd’s going crazy,” chimed in Zayn.

“We do it for a laugh,” they concluded.

        via glooce

'The Impossible' actor has revealed he was in a panic about turning 40 in 2011, but has now calmed down and embraced his older and wiser self.

In an interview with Italian magazine IO Donna, he said: ''When I turned 40 I started worrying about my age and getting older, but now that I'm over that I'm content and relaxed with ageing... It's OK.''

The 41-year-old Scottish actor has four daughters, Clara, 15, Esther Rose, 11, and adopted Jamiyan, 11, and Anouk, two, with his wife Eve Mavrakis, and he has been following his parents example when it comes to raising them.

Josh Hutcherson Reveals His Celebrity Crush

          via glooce

Josh Hutcherson has revealed his celebrity crush, and it's not Jennifer Lawrence or any of his other Catching Fire costars (although he's reportedly very bromantic with Liam Hemsworth and Sam Claflin).

Instead the Hunger Games hottie is crushing on another butt-kicking babe, lovely Avatar star Zoe Saldana. Who knew he was into cougar-hunting?

The much-older object of Josh's affection recently broke up with Bradley Cooper, but Josh will be disappointed to know that she's already been spotted out and about with a mystery man. Maybe Josh should work on scoring a role as a little green man in Star Trek 2 or Avatar 2 so that he can get close to the woman who makes up half of everyone's favorite big, blue alien couple. At the very least, he should throw on a pair of antennae or Spock ears since Zoe is obviously into extraterrestrials.

It's odd that Josh Hutcherson has a crush on Zoe Saldana since his Catching Fire costar was recently linked to Bradley Cooper. Brad denied rumors that he and Jennifer Lawrence are dating, but how weird would it be if Josh hooked up with Zoe and Jen hooked up with Brad? There would definitely be no double dates going on there.

Josh has also been dealing with a slew of dating rumors—he's been linked to Selena Gomez, his ex-girlfriend Lanchen Mihalic, and Carrie Diaries star Chloe Bridges.

So since he's quite the ladies man, who knows? Maybe he actually has a chance at hooking Zoe.

Chris Brown Compares Himself to Jesus on the Cross After Frank Ocean Fight

Chris Brown is apparently feeling crucified by reports that he physically assaulted fellow R&B star Frank Ocean. On Monday, Jan. 28, the 23-year-old rapper posted a new photo on Instagram of Jesus on the cross, with a cryptic caption about his state of mind.

"Painting the way I feel today," he captioned the shot. "Though he seems to have a hard time taking his own advice, Brown also added, "Focus on what matters!"

The alleged altercation with Ocean, 24, occurred at a West Hollywood parking lot on Sunday, Jan. 28. The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department confirmed that "Chris Brown and the victim were involved in an altercation over a parking space. The altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim.

"Got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol," Ocean tweeted after the incident. "Cut my finger now I can't play w two hands at the Grammys."

Brown has never been very good at turning the other cheek and walking away from a fight. In July 2012, he denied reports that he made a homophobic slur against Ocean, who had recently revealed he was bisexual. The "Don't Wake Me Up" singer was involved in a brawl brow with rapper Drake in June 2012. The fight was reportedly over Rihanna, who Brown has recently reunited with after assaulting her in 2009.

Black Keys on success: 'Never feel like you’re entitled to it – because then you turn into a prick'

          via glooce

The Black Keys have said they never feel entitled to success, no matter how hard they worked for it.

Speaking to Radio.com, drummer Patrick Carney said: "We’ve definitely worked hard, but a lot of bands have worked just as hard. You just have to feel really lucky. Never feel like you’re entitled to it – because then you just sort of turn into a prick."

The duo picked up five Grammy nominations this year, with singer and guitarist Dan Auerbach also picking up a solo nod for Producer of the Year. The band are also set to perform at the Grammys ceremony for the first time, which will take place in LA on February 11.

"It just so happens that in the last two or so years, a lot of things that we were never even on our radar happened, like getting gold and platinum records, winning Grammys, selling out MSG [Madison Square Garden], headlining festivals, " Carney said. "All that stuff, we never even thought was possible. When it happens, it’s really kind of surreal. We’re really grateful that it’s happened, but we don’t really understand how it happened or why it happened."

Black Keys are set to release their eighth album, the follow-up to 2011's 'El Camino' in late 2013.

"Zayn Malik's Got The Best Tattoos in One Direction" - Tattoo Artist

          via glooce

You may recognise the name Kevin Paul from Instagram, Twitter, or even this very website - as everyone's been talking about his celebrity tattoo clients including Harry Styles, Aston Merrygold, Ed Sheeran and Rizzle Kicks.

"Some of the papers have been saying I'm One Direction's personal tattooist," he told us.

"I’m not. I’ve tattooed Harry twice, by chance."

Kevin gave Harry his '17 Black' tattoo across his collar bone, and a little 'Pingu' underneath his arm, which he got when Ed Sheeran had his little Pingu drawing. Aww.

"I think it was just his lucky number. That’s what he said to me," said Kevin of El Stylo's 17 Black tattoo.

"It’s a gambling reference I think, but I don’t know if it is for him. What he said to me was it's his lucky number. We didn’t need to try out a couple of styles, he basically drew what he wanted and then I drew it better. He was fine with the pain, he took it quite well. Most of them do – Frankie Cocozza wasn’t too impressed with it but most of them are ok."

But inking our favourite boys in pop isn't all loveliness and dreamy times for Kevin you know. OH NO.

"I think celebrities like me because I don't sell them out," says Kevin, "but when I first did Harry I got offered ten grand for a photo of his tattoo and I said no. I just deleted them because they ended up being more hassle than they were worth."

But he's definitely seen pictures of Harry's other tattoos that weren't done by him, and might not be the biggest fan of them (our detective skills tell us)...

"Harry’s ship – from what I’ve seen it didn’t look like it was done very well, but I’ve not seen a close up photo of it. Apparently it was done in a professional shop.

"I know he goes to Shamrock Tattoo in LA - they’re a good professional studio, so I assume the ones he’s had done there are gonna be professional and well done. I generally don’t like what else he’s had, because it’s little bits around the arms.

"I think when he gets older he’ll want to get them covered up.

"From what I’ve seen, I think Zayn’s got that best tattoos. All of Zayn’s tattoos seem to be professionally done – they might be odd images that he’s had, but they seem to be professionally done."

Justin Bieber cheated on Selena Gomez with a Black girl, is he pulling a Michael Fassbender?

          via glooce

Justin Bieber‘s debauchery-filled evening in Los Angeles — in which, in a stoned haze, he engaged in sexual activity with a 22-year-old nursing student — was the last straw in his 2-year relationship with Selena Gomez, sources tell the new issue of Star.

On December 21, an insider tells the magazine, the 18-year-old pop star joined rapper Lil Twist and nursing student Milyn “Mimi” Jenson around 6 p.m at the Beverly Hills Four Seasons.

“They all went to buy weed at a smoke shop on Olympic Blvd. in Hollywood,” the insider said, “then they got food at McDonald’s and went back to the hotel.”

At the hotel, the group smoked marijuana and drank a chemical concoction known as “sizzurp” throughout the night. From there, they went to the Baby singer’s $6.6 million Calabasas mansion, where Justin opened up about his fondness for tattoos and Xanax, as well as his plans to build a hookah room in the house.

Shia LaBeouf tried Acid for Movie Role

In his new filmNecessary Death of Charlie Countryman,Shia LaBeouf plays a character who trips on acid. To make sure his depiction was accurate, LaBeouf dropped acid and filmed himself -- and then asked costarEvan Rachel Woodfor pointers!

During an interview withMTV at Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah for the mafia film, LaBeouf, 26, admitted he was "scared" to a play character who trips on acid because he'd "never done acid before." So, he decided to try it out for real and film his trip.

"I remember sending Evan tapes," he said. "I remember trying to conjure this and sending tapes and Evan being like, 'Yeah, that's good, but that's not, but this is, but that ain't.'"

"Not like I would know about these drugs!" Wood, 25, who is currently expecting her first child with husband Jamie Bell, interjected.

"Not like she's the expert on set," LaBeouf explained. "I'm just saying you reach out to friends and you sort of gauge where you're at. So I was sending tapes around. I'd get fifty percents from people, and that starts creeping me out, and I got really nervous. Towards the end, I was like . . ."

"It was spot on," Wood told her costar.

"That's what propels things like that -— being nervous that you're not going to get it right or it's not going to be honest," LaBeouf said. "You subject yourself to things and you can't choose your thoughts. You can't choose your feelings. But you can really influence them, and I just try to influence myself as much as possible."
